Notice of Fraudulent Emails Using Our Name
Sandman Law has learned that scammers are sending emails that use our firm's name, address, phone number and email address without our authorization. The emails claim to be a "Notice Concerning Reported Intellectual Property Use" or similar, cite a rights holder such as Big Fish Games, and are directed at Facebook page administrators. They are sent from mailto:noreply@appsheet.com and include a button inviting the recipient to "examine supporting evidence."
These emails did not come from us. The button leads to a fake login page designed to steal Facebook credentials. If you received one:
• Do not click any link or button in the email.
• Do not enter any password or account information.
• Mark the email as phishing in your mail program.
• If you already clicked and entered a login, change that password immediately and enable two-factor authentication.
We have reported this activity to Google and Meta. If you'd like to confirm whether a message is from us, call Zack Sandman at (978) 886-0638 or email : info@sandman-law.com. Sandman Law does not send copyright or trademark enforcement notices by unsolicited email.
