<image:title>Richard Sandman - Richard Sandman</image:title>
<image:caption>Richard has been the co-owner and Managing Partner of Rodman, Rodman & Sandman, P.C., and a practicing attorney for over 40 years. Richard is nationally recognized in the areas of asbestos litigation, toxic torts, water contamination, and complex product liability claims. He has been involved extensively in tobacco-related litigation and worked with other personal injury attorneys throughout the country to achieve the national multibillion-dollar settlement with the tobacco industry. He has represented thousands of asbestos claimants nationwide in state and federal courts, earning hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients. Mr. Sandman has played significant roles in litigations involving defective prescription drugs and other products. Richard has represented government entities in the areas of water, soil, and building contamination and the losses due to the opioid epidemic. He represented ninety Massachusetts municipalities whose public water supplies were contaminated by the gasoline additive methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE). After several years of litigation, these cases settled, resulting in approximately $100 million dollars to his clients. He presently represents government entities and individuals whose public and private water wells have been contaminated by the PFAS chemicals PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) and PFOS (perfluorooctane sulfonic acid). Furthermore, Richard represents 125 municipalities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire to help stem the national opioid crisis. Richard has successfully litigated and resolved individual claims involving catastrophic motor vehicle accidents, head injuries, burns, construction site injuries, and claims against major automobile manufacturers for automotive defects, including crashworthiness claims involving Jeep CJs and Wranglers. Richard graduated from Boston College Law School in 1977, where he served as Executive Editor of the American Journal of Law and Medicine. He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he litigated high-exposure sex crimes and abuse. He then returned to Massachusetts and became a personal injury attorney in 1985. Richard is a member of the Massachusetts and Pennsylvania bars. Richard lives in Boston, Massachusetts, with his wife, Susan, and has two children. Rich is an avid dog lover.</image:caption>

<image:caption>You can’t win the game if you don’t know the rules. The rules in federal court are different—nuanced and unforgiving, whatever the cause of action may be. Even the attorney with decades of subject matter expertise will be outmatched in a federal proceeding if his or her career was built in a state courthouse. Jeff is, first and foremost, a federal lawyer. As a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana, he led dozens of criminal investigations relating to racketeering, financial, violent, and narcotics offenses. He has tried, and won, several federal jury trials and briefed and argued scores of dispositive, evidentiary, and discovery motions. Jeff has briefed more than a dozen cases before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and argued three of them before a three-judge panel—winning each time. Before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Jeff was a litigation associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. There, he drafted dispositive, evidentiary, and discovery motions in high stakes civil matters for Fortune 500 companies in federal court—including a motion to dismiss in a case of the first impression concerning the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, a First Amendment challenge to a New York City municipal ordinance for a Fortune 500 company, and a motion for summary judgment in a trademarks disputes among biotech companies. Jeff’s legal career began as a law clerk for two federal judges—first, for then-Chief Judge Sarah Vance of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, and then for Judge Jacques Wiener of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Jeff graduated from Michigan Law School, magna cum laude, in 2011, where he served as an editor on the Michigan Law Review. He is a 2006 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Jeff is barred to practice law in New York and Louisiana. Jeff enjoys golf and tennis, vegetarian cooking, art projects involving found materials, and camping with his fiancée and dog.</image:caption>

<image:title>Zack Sandman - Zack Sandman</image:title>
<image:caption>Zack is formerly a litigation associate at one of the largest plaintiffs-side firms in the country, where he began his career litigating a groundwater contamination case in California involving the exposure of hundreds of students and faculty to the toxic substance Trichloroethylene (TCE). Following the historic Butte Wildfire, which burned more than 7,000 acres and destroyed nearly 575 homes near San Andreas, California, Zack traveled into the heart of fire country to meet with those devastated by the failure of Pacific Gas and Electric to properly maintain their electrical wires in thickly wooded areas. When fires caused by negligently maintained electrical lines again destroyed hundreds of homes throughout Malibu and Agoura, California, in 2018, Zack traveled weekly to meet with his clients and prepare their claims against Southern California Edison for mediation. Zack has also represented public entities, at the state and city level, in water contamination litigation involving toxic PCBs. Zack was part of the team that secured a landmark $743 million dollar settlement against Monsanto to repair state and municipal stormwater systems. Zack has drafted dispositive, evidentiary and discovery motions in state and federal court, defended dozens of depositions, and answered and propounded thousands of discovery requests in high-profile environmental, products liability, and antitrust litigations. Over the course of his career, Zack has learned the ins and outs of our tort system by litigating multidistrict litigations and class action lawsuits against some of the largest corporations in the world. Zack graduated from Boston College Law School in 2015, and from Vanderbilt University, cum laude, in 2009. He is admitted to practice in New York and the Northern District of Texas. Zack enjoys hiking with his dogs, tinkering with his motorcycle, and taking road trips with his wife and two daughters.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Sandman Law represents hundreds of the more than 92,000 former Boy Scouts who allege sexual abuse by a scoutmaster. If you have been sold for sex and believe that a business’s owners or employees knew or suspected your abuse and yet did nothing to prevent it, we want to hear from you.</image:caption>
